After a lot of investigation and some previous bad experiences with aftermarket head units I took a punt on Yatour bluetooth setup. I like the retro look of the 2004 being an old fart but wanted some connectivity and I fitted it today it was dead easy plus you also need an additional Y cable. Its controlled through the CD unit and streams music and the steering control works for the mode and track selection plus it automatically paired my Oppo Android phone. The best part is I didn't lose my s*** trying to get it all working and for only $164 AUD

Yes the BT-45 TOY is the go to. It is also currently totally out of stock.

It took a bit of backwards and forwards but I got the listing on eBay Australia and as usual we get shafted on the exchange rate. One thing that surprised me was the fact that it connected to 12+ year old Ipod that I have never had success connecting it to anything. They confirmed it was running Bluetooth 5.3 and my older Oppo phone would connect to factory BT but not my current phone.

Question for the group with the BT45-TOY. The volume is pretty low so have to have the volume high when listing via bluetooth to my phone. The problem is when I restart the car and the "CONNECTED" comes on. It nearly blows my speakers every time I forget to turn the volume down immediately at startup. Anyone have a solution for not having the "CONNECTED" prompt so much louder than than when actually using blue tooth?

Have you checked to be sure your phones audio volume is not turned all the way down?

Having phone volume higher would allow vehicle volume to be turned down some.

Absolutely, yes. Still, the connected prompt is twice as loud as the volume playing from my phone.

I've had this issue but only after talking on a call. Seems the call volume is lower than the media volume. It's not uncommon I'll wrap up a call as I'm pulling in to my driveway. Then the next time my Ms and I go somewhere together, she jumps out of her seat when it connects.

I guess I could just turn the volume down when I finish a call, but I won't. Maybe it's funny to me.

If your talking about the welcome "your connect" voice or something like that, if want that disabled (and who doesn't)
Then when you turn on the car immediately push the track level up or down and it toggles that welcoming message off.
As long as you don't repeat that sequence then it stays off.

Thank you, menancyandsam! That is exactly the info I was looking for!!!!

Sweet relief. Track up turns it on and Track down turns it off.
