I just bought a new to me Land Cruiser 3 days ago and am realizing that a couple of the speakers are toast. I have installed a few car stereos so I am fairly knowledgeable about the process. I am, however, totally new to Land Cruisers so I am looking for some guidance.

I am looking to replace all 4 door speakers with a set of components to replace the front doors and coaxials in the rears.

I have two questions for installation on the component set for the front speakers. How will I procede with the installation of the crossovers for the front set? Will I need to run a new wire to the tweeter location with the source coming from the woofer location? Also, what do I need to do to make sure the tweeter I purchase will fit in the factory location?

Thanks for the help!

Crossovers can be screwed, double-sided taped, or velcro'd to the doors just aft of the woofers...more than a few threads with pictures here.

Remove a tweeter and take it with you when you buy the speakers. You may need to re-use the oem tweeter brackets.

Run some searches on this forum with relevant search terms. Lots of threads on this topic, including at least one in the FAQs. If you buy from crutchfield.com, they can often help with figuring out what fits and how to get things apart. You can reuse wires if you are putting replacement drivers in the factory locations, but you may need to use different connectors.

^^ All great advice and spot on.

Upgrade front, rear, sub and amp and your LC will sound almost brand new! ("Almost" b/c sound dampening does in fact help too.)
