I have a nasty fart in my door speaker. Thanks for the thread dude, speakers being replaced.

Okay, replaced speakers. Went to Circuit City tonight after sushi and picked up a pair of Kicker KS60's (6.5")for the front doors, and some Infinity Reference 4021i's (4") for the rear doors. Everything sounds phenominal. An amazing change and I have the existing oem deck. No, neither speaker sets fit the oem grills.

The 4021i's don't fit in the rear doors? Crap, I was planning on using those.

I know we've talked about the stereos in the 80s Johnny, and I'm not much of an audiophile. But changing out the head unit to the Alpine made as much or more of a difference than changing the speakers.

Plus - extra pocket to throw crap in!

It took quite a bit to get them in there. I had to Dremel out the centers of the oem seat ring, and then they barely cleared. The 4021's I bought were on the "open box" table so I got them for a killer price, but no grills. I had to Dremel out a center hole for the tweeter to clear the oem grill. I am planning on attaching a small tweeter grill on the oem grill to clean it up just a bit, though it really doesn't look all that bad now.

I was really surprised how much of a difference the speakers made. It was really night and day.

One stereo option that really interests me is all this talk of the Scion CD stereos. Some with SAT and MP3. Direct plug in.
