I don't need them because mine are in great shape in my closet BUT I know someone who would. PM "1LoudLX" he'd probably buy them...I think he loost his

LOL

I've got the blackout look going. The tail lights and third brake light were painted so the brakes are more visible, like when you see a traffic light with a black surround.

I know the bottom is line x but what color is the rest of your car? Ive heard you say its matte so im guessing you had it repainted?

chaltig, someone on here a while back painted the interior chrome of his headlights black, while keeping the exterior glass/plastic clear.

BTW, idk if you can or should spray glass headlights with niteshade spray. Unless yours is plastic.

Anthony has a good point here, glass and niteshade do not mix. If you MUST black out your headlights and tail lights, get them tinted so that when you regret it, you can just peel the tint off

I was seriously considering this, I think it would be really slick if done properly. Paint the chrome surrounding the reflectors black, but not the reflectors themselves. I've never seen it done but I'll have to search for that thread.

Awesome, thanks Anthony! Thats exactly what I'd like to do w/ mine. I'd have to do something with the side marker too though...looks a little goofy not matching the headlight.

Fuzz, from the pics I think you could do the side markers too, without messing with the reflectors in em.

If you do do this, before going with paint, might want to use a black adhesive something or other, in case you don't like it or you grow tired of that look. Then again, if you tear apart your headlights, might as well projector-retro em!

I've actually thought about a projector retro but with the older headlights it's tough to pull off. More money than I'm currently prepared to invest, too....I have other things that I need first. ;)

Its a factory color, 1C2...with a matte clear coat. Yup, had the whole truck redone a few years ago :grinpimp:

that looks like...well...ass.

I think the post from Anthony looks decent. 1LoudLX what was the process to paint the rear lid chrome piece black?

There is a company called Lightwerkz that does the conversion. You can go to the site and click on toyota and it shows lights they have done. Might break the bank though.

2003 Hundy Photos

Ok, here are the shots of the Hundy with the new wheels and tires and tinting. Still not sure what I am going to do with the lights.

I think the angle of the camera makes it look un-level but I will measure tomorrow. When I am looking from the side it looks level. That front loop from ARB did not do well going back and forth to the ski hill and I am thinking of having it powder coated black. Might try the 3M Vinyl if you think it would hold up. I will need to do it on the grill too however. It has been a week and one trip over the pass and it is chipped. Thanks for the 3M info.

I wrapped my grille too several years ago before I repainted my truck and did rhino on the grille. I don't think you can wrap the hoop, but prove me wrong.
