Black smoke (1 Viewer)

I have a '92 land crusier that pushes alot of black smoke when you put your foot in it. I was told that meant it was alot of unburnt fuel? What is the cure?

Have the injectors tested [and cleaned if necessary], then get the IP adjusted.

Also check your air filter if it is plugged this will also cause the black smoke but usually is injector related

You can try a fuel system cleaner and new fuel filter as a cheaper option before getting into the injectors. If that does not fix it, the other guys are right on and it's time to check injectors, timing and IP.
