Black smoke no speed under load

HI GUYS HAVE A HJ60 4.0 NON TURBO DIESEL AUTO ,THIS IE THE FIRST TIME I HAVE OWNED ONE OF THESE VEHCLES AND I USE IT FOR BUSINESS IT HAS BEEN SUCH A GOOD TRUCK BUT FOR SOME REASON IT SEEMS REALLY SLOW NOT A LACK OF POWER IN THE LOWER END,JUST SLOW IN THE TOP END I HAVE READ IN MANY THREADS ABOUT HOW GOOD A TOWING VEHCLE THEY ARE BUT I CANT SAY I AM VERY IMPRESSED ,EVEN A LITTLE TRAILER IT FEELS WHEN I HONESTLY THINK THIS TRUCK SHOULD SPIT IT OUT NO PROB.THE OTHER THING IS ABIT OF BLACK SMOKE ON LOAD OR ACCELERATION,AND THE CHAP I BOUGHT IT OF ASURES ME HE REALLY BABYED IT BEFORE I BOUGHT IT ,I WAS WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY ONE WITH ANY IDEAS EXEPT FOR INJECTOR PUMP

,I WAS WONDERING IF THERE IS ANY ONE WITH ANY IDEAS EXEPT FOR INJECTOR PUMP

Caps lock=3rd row ,far left.

1st,I would check the air filter or put a new one in to be sure.
If thats no good then you are going to need a good injection shop have a look.
It may be just the injectors.
The injectors and fuel pump on the 2H are among the cheaper types.
The best way to find out for sure is to put it on a dyno and test the HP. If its putting out its maximum ,its not going to get any better.

Ive never been to NZ but from what I hear the hills are steep and plentiful.Thats not ideal terrain for a non turbo diesel.

I see it now thanks i can rewire 20 ton machinary but cant type on the comp,lol thanks for the reply will prob get that done next time i am in the city,
