Black River/Point of Pines

Looking to do some family camping next month. We have never been to this neck of the woods any ideas. We would like to be able to camp a few days and do some fishing. I am not sure on who in my family would go, that would determine any road conditions. What are some hard to reach places and/or easy places?

Up on the Mogollon rim, there is a nice meadow for camping on the North side of the lake that can be accesses by graded forest service roads. nice temps, scenery, and you can walk to the lake and fish.

A very easy trip and high enough in elevation to escape some of the heat.

point of pine has great fishing and easy to get to need a permit San Carlos
Black River need White Mountain Apache permit good fishing but lots of bears
last time i went .White mountain go to the game warden offices and get some of their maps they are helpful . Both places no GUNS unless you get the tribal hunting licences

Permits are pricey, anyone over 12 it's $20 PP/day if your planning on fishing the Black.
