Was the driver not paying attention? My first thought was he texting and driving. Good thing they are alright looks like there was a drop off on the side they went down. Good to hear them say no one was hurt.

It is about a 1000' dropoff. He was afraid that he would end up in Telluride if he got too close the edge and he almost ended up there anyway

Watching that, I've totally been in that place, where all of a sudden you're on your way to being on your lid, and it came outta no where.

That's about the exact spot where it started raining hard and we slipped on a rock probably no more than 6 inches, but of course toward the edge. It was nothing of consequence, but the resulting panic attack set the stage for a miserable descent starting right at the top of the switchbacks.
