Hello

I have to replace the clutch master on my 89 BJ74. Is the clutch master the same on my truck as an 87 BJ70?

Thanks

Mike

It should be the same up till the erly 90s

Part numbers show a difference between LHD and RHD. What that difference will be, I've no idea.

Sorry, can't be more help as I have not walked down this path. If you do find a crossover application, make sure you post it on the part# thead in the FAQ thread Stone has at the top of this section.

actually the master itself is the same number for both, if you order with booster then it is side specific.
31410-60292...
no?

Do you know that number works for sure Wayne? If so great! Post that info in the sticky so we have the info for posterity. I know the EPC lists 31410-60290 (91) (92) for 70/73's and 31401-60040 (41) (42) for the 71/74's.

I'm sure that the Tojo rebuild kit is identical. I'd try that route and save a few bucks.

Yes, likely, even though sometimes they list the kits one number or so apart in the EPC.

There are a pile of threads under the FAQ thread that is always stuck to the top of the main page in the Intl section. Stone has been collecting them for easy reference.

My only question as to if the 70 numbers will work...my 13BT clutch master is triangular at the base (three bolts). Are the 70 numbers two bolts, or three?

Well, I think that i'm going to go with the rebuild kit. The part number is 04311-60042. Before I order it, does anyone know if this kit will work for the 89 74 series (the part number is for 70 series to 07/87)

Thanks again

Mike
