I want to get rid of the horrible rally car type drivers seat in my troopy.Does anyone know for sure if the BJ73 to HZJ75 seat is a straight swap?

I tried to buy some canvas seat covers for my FJ73 once and the seller swore there was some difference,I dont think there is.

I tell you what mate if you just duck over here on the weekend you can try one out of my 74 ;)

Thanks but Im going to have a look at one today,Ill take some spanners and try it.

I think Wong had some kzj7x seats in his hzj75 ,maybe ask or pm him rosco

Well they dont fit ,certainly not a straight swap anyway. The troopy has a big hump in the floor ,presumably to make room for the forward fuel tank.
You might be able to do it by swapping bits and pieces, but as I dont have the runners for the HZJ75 seat,I would be chasing those as well.
I do have the option of a fully reconditioned 75 series seat with new foam ,springs and vinyl for $650.
Thats looking more and more attractive,as ripped and worn out seats are attracting $100-$200 and then it is another $400+ to refurbish them.
