hi

wanted to say hello to all and ask few questions about bj73.
im a fresh owner of 1985 bj73 from estonia.

i rescently bought this car and at the moment it is registred as two-seater. i have found backseats from lj70 but problem is with seatbelts. since my car doesnt have the internal roll cage i wanted to have it custom made here to attache the belts to it. ive seen few pics about the cage but not too detailed. can someone post pics of the lower connection to the body. or drawings of the original cage?

regards, margus

location: europe > estonia > tallinn.

its one of these locations where thiskind of cars are really hard to find. so far i know only one similar looking and body bj73 here in estonia. quite many lj and bj70-s but only few 73/74.
usually these are imported from denmark and germany.

really lot of bj4-s here but not too many bj7-s.

so. have to had it made from scratch.

can you tell me. there were markets where no roll cages were offered? if i got one like that, does it still have attaching spots for the cage? ive noticed, some cars on pictures dont have the cage for seatbelt connection, but have a steel rod in front of side windows, just like old volvo 245 estate had. thats not so good when frp top is removed.

@marqs

Just give the largest Landcruiser-platform in Europe a try:

http://www.buschtaxi.org/forum/

They have a multilanguage-board at the forums, maybe you should post your query there?

A mate of mine, called "Lcfrizz" (at the forum mentioned above)shurely could sell a cage for really small bugs, only problem could be the postage...

Cheers

Michael

thanks michael

bushtaxi forum indeed, i forgot it.

but does your friend know how many bugs ;) he want for the cage? and is it in one piece or can it be parted somehow? perhaps the transport is not that expencive.

@marqs

Phoned him a few minutes ago - 100€
Transport could be organized somehow

The cage cant be parted down, it´s welded.

greets

hey, that is very good price. can you/he give me location of this item and weight. id check some transport companies about the shipping price.

is it this kind of as on the pic?

yes, thats the cage, but there are some support tubes to the inner fender (not visible in the pic), and they are welded to the cage.
Estimated wheight (had the cage of my brothers 73series cruiser in hands) not more than 40 klios
You need the tubes with the handles too, correct?

I could take the cage with me to my workplace - so the location would be VIENNA/AUSTRIA.
