Does anyone have photos of a custom bumper, brush/bull guard that they have had done without moving the actual pto back? I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around the fact that any bumper or guard will have a decent approach angle with how far the pto sticks out....but then again I know nothing. Looking at a 73 with a pto and possibility of getting a custom bumper made.

Cheers

Check out a build thread by ducattiman. Proffit's custom fit an ARB around a PTO. Very slick and non-obtrusive.

I now own this truck and can take some photos etc. if you need. The bumper has been great. I've added a couple of 2" receivers to it and use them for rigging my tree work., pushing trailers, ladder rack, etc. No troubles with the bumper yet, its been great!

Home sweet home, missing is already. Some of the best food I've ever eaten between the fresh lamb, beef, pork and fish. Perfect weather. Came home with a tan....from Ireland...and I live in Florida....figure that one out.

Thanks Peter and stayalert. Photos would be much appreciated. I checked out the build and looks like the pto was not moved back (so I don't understand how it looks so tight). Browsing photos others still have the big front porch. The ARB doesn't seem that much more angled to compensate and sticks out less. Did he move the pto back or just fabricate the bumper?

Couple photos of another bumper https://forum.ih8mud.com/70-series-tech/304009-i-want-put-arb-bullbar-bj74-my-pto-possible.html

While the above pictures don't show it very well, the front brace of the PTO winch is removed and the bumper is now bolted in as the front PTO crossmember. This allows the bumper to get closer to the front of the truck.

Agreed.

Also...If you need specific photo or measurement feel free to ask. I'll see what I can do. This truck has worked great for me so far. There are many ways to skin a cat and I don't know that my front bumper is the strongest, shortest, fastest, lightest, cheapest, shiniest, or whatever-est, but it seems so far to be working great.

Best,
