Couple of hardware notes:

Transmission cross member bolts: 90119-10586. Come precoated with thread locker.

The crossmember to transmission insulator nuts used to be 2 part numbers for nut and washer. Later trucks use an integrated nut and washer part number. Good part number reduction and rationalization kaizen move:

90179-12115

Keep the momentum up! I have two dead duck vehicles of my own I need to get in gear on like this.

New rear main seal: 90311-95008. NOK is the primary seal supplier to the Land Cruiser series.

New pilot bearing: 90363-15017. The center ID is different between the H55F and the R151/R141F transmissions. PZJ trucks never came with the H55F. The OD of the bearing is the same whereas the ID is smaller on the R series 90363-12010 pilot bearing.

Sanitary. So tidy.

I swept my shop floor last weekend! And the driveway today! Seriously.

Even though you can't tell.

Radiator testing:

IMG_7979.webp

Unfortunately there is enough mounting differences between the pre-1990 radiator core support. Ergo, the radiator needed to be clearanced

New radiator foam:

Looking good !!

Everything coming out tomorrow:

1. Grind off the current 3B mounts.

2. Mount frame mounts to the engine mounts.

3. Drop engine back in, tie in with trans crossmember and land the frame mounts where everything rests.

4. Tack frame mounts.

5. Lift engine up about 10-12” and then weld them in.

6. Lower everything into their new home.

7. Complete systems integration: electrical, hydraulic and exhaust.

8. Test drive.

You. Got. Radiator. Packing.

God@&&&mn epic.

Everything is in its right place.

You go Onur! Glad to see you are making progress. I could weld that up in a jiffy for you if we could wrench and fab like in the before time...

New power steering piping/hose assembly. These are different between RHD and LHD trucks with 1PZ/HZ/HD family of engines.

Assemblies installed:

Decided on a new fuel filter bracket. This one fit way better than the one with the curved piping:

Totally forgot I ordered these from Japan off of a RHD 2004 HZJ71.

I rolled the dice hoping they would fit a 1985 BJ70 and they were available still…. Super cheap, about $45 a part number but shipping was 🤯🤯🤯.

Amazingly enough with a quick eye test, they do indeed work. I think I’m going to install the factory lines. It’s not that I don’t trust my pipes, it’s just that these are so incredibly beautiful.

Frame rail unit from rightly half way back on the frame to the firewall connections, RH side:

And the firewall unit: so well bent…

God I need to order all that tubing before it goes away. I just sold the same fuel filter bracket today, received by mistake from Megazip. The curved pipe one was what I needed, for pre-filter fitted applications.
