Looking for a good LHD Steering box for a BJ70. With or without the Pitman arm

just in case you can't find one... when I did my LHD conversion, I used a mini-truck box. Why? Because i could get a rebuilt box and adapter plate from Marlin for cheaper than what I could rebuild a LHD 70 series box... and I couldn't find a LHD 70 series box. The mini box is similar in dimension, but bolt pattern to frame is different (so, needed the scab plate welded on). Easy for someone with fab skills.

What year mini truck.

I have a RHD box and a LHD Box, but the LHD shaft is broke off above the pitman arm from an accident. Do you know if the shaft is the same for both, just different housings?

I didn't want to go through the work of tearing both apart to find out that they are different

interesting... the BJ70 LHD steering shaft crosses to FJ60...

44111‑60020 (11/1984 - 09/1985) crosses to FJ60
44111‑60040 (10/1985 - 06/1987) crossed to later FJ60/2
(per DIY toyo)

even though the box does not...

interesting. The box I have is from a november 84. so you are saying it is the same shaft as an FJ60 for that year?

i have a box from an 85 bj70 in Winnipeg.
$250 ?

i am getting a list together of parts i am going to sell and damn, i found a 70 series box in great shape inside (usual rust outside) and then found this thread a day late.
