Had a look under my truck, my stock springs are soft and saggy and on big bumps at speed I am getting a bad banging up through the back end. Turns out that I have no bump stops, it seems that the springs are banging the bottom of the truck on the big bumps. Are the BJ70's supposed to have factory bumpstops, or am I better off throwing on some aftermarket ones when I install my lift? Or will my lift take care of the problem? Thanks.....

Factory yes you should have them.

Every 7* series with 2inch lifted leaves i have seen at full flex doesnt reach the bump stops, its got something to do with relitivley firm packs and a greater arc in the springs. So a lift should solve your problems but i would still go the wreckers and get some just in case.

Great, thanks for the info. Dumb question, would any bumpstops work for me, or would I need to try and get a set off of another Cruiser?

I imagine the bump stops off any 7* series from 84 to 97 would be the same.(not sure about the LJ/RJ7*)
You might even be able to use 60 series bump stops, they use the same axle except for the width.

thanks for all of the helpful info, these mount to the frame of the truck, or to the top of the axle, usually? time to break out my manual.....

The front bump stops sit on a curved part of the chassis so i would think they are pretty specific to landcruisers

Yeh I found that one out when I fitted the 60 rears upfront, fit of hammer action soon sorted that out though
