does anyone have any good sources on a bj60 4 core rad.. the rad in my truck is from a 1983 bj60.. the rad in my truck cant keep up to the new turbo plus it is in pretty bad shape.. also both my tanks are in bad shape so there is no saving this rad nor is there any possibility on recoring this one...

i found a couple of general links online but my google-fu is bad tonight and i would like to know where a good place is to either buy a used one that is in perfect shape or buy a new one that is of a good quality copper one.. i am not interested in buying an aluminum rad..

thanks guys!!

i am in Saskatchewan so if anything pops up in edmonton or calgary than i can come get it.. any further than we will have to look at shipping.. (on my dime of course..)

anyone know if these are any good?? they are out of bc.. i know the pic might be a generic pic of the rad but the bottom port is on the wrong side compared to my truck.. my rad has the upper and lower ports coming out of the left side of the rad(viewing from the drivers seat..)

I did the same thing Gerg did. Worked flawlessly for years.

i dont suppose either of you guys would have pics or a toyota part number for this rad??

because this is the rad for the auto, i assume it has ports on the bottom tank for lines to go from the tranny to the rad for cooling?? side note: i bought a rad for an auto in my hilux and will use the bottom tank for more capacity and cooling for my power steering.. no need for an external cooler than and more than enough cooling for the power steering and hydra assist setup..

Yes, has a tranny cooler. I used an aftermarket unit for mine. I purchased it from performance radiators here in Canada. It was $300 delivered. It bolts in just like the factory rad, was identical to the factory rad in shape and materials, uses the factory rad cap.

I got one up on salt spring island in Canada that was used on a bj60. it worked...there were no problems. the frame cracked and i moved on but kept the rad. lemme know if you're still in need. it's skookum. very custom built, and bullet proof I'm told. Jet black with a nice top that would take me to baja mexico i'm told...

i have an 86 fj60 that had aircon, in winnipeg. the rad has a few small leaks visible on the top. it would be available in a month or less. steve

i bought a new 4 core rad and recieved it from performance rads.. thanks for the thought though..

i need to figure out what hose i need now being that the bottom port is on the opposite side of the original bj60 rad..
