If you bump up to the 35" you are going to want to consider power steering.

power steering

things i didnt notice before but i later learned she has..

1. power steering
2. beefy extended shackles

the thing in the front that i though was for the winch is actually power steering. hehehe.. well, will take her out today and see what happens.

thanks so much for the input! i guess re-gearing would be last on my list? :D just finished the truck with the mechanic.. these things were done:

1. tank cleaning, inside scrubbing and re-coating
2. re-layout of fuel lines
3. drum brake cleaning, bleeding and hose change. rear drums were a bit stuck and had a leak.
4. slight electrical work, fixed a ground prblem
5. re-calibration and overhaul of fuel injectors

TOTAL bill

173.91 dollars, parts AND labor.

easy dude, you don't have to flaunt the cheap labour you can get, lol. glad you got some good work done.

come to think of it, if your'e doing light to medium trails at best, then you don't need 35's unless you're goin for "looks"...33's would be plenty...in fact, i think your rig will do what you ask of her now as is, lol. tried wheelin it yet? get stuck yet? :)
cheers.

i live to drive another day!

took her out today, nice sunday drive to work. i figured, today might be the best day to see if there are any more kinks.. so far soo good.. :) nice experience driving her. im haviing a 4x4 friend of mine give her a look over to see if there's anything i missed out.

sir romey, hehehe, sorry if it came out that way. I was actually hoping someone could comment if that was cheap or not. i shouldve asked instead. anyways, i'm inclined to stick with 33's as per your suggestion and that of lostmarbles. I might end up compromising my power to weight ratio if i go bigger... guess that can wait in the further future.

newbie question, what exactly does "wheelin" mean?

no appologies needed, haha. you're talkin to a mostly n.american audience where labour can be $40 to $100 or more/hour, lol. maybe you should ask cruiserheads in the pines if that was relatively cheap, haha.

so yeah, go find some trails and lets see it get dirty! :steer:

sorting her out slowly.. noticed a couple of things...

1. when i do a full turn on the steering wheel, the car slows down a bit... feels like the brakes are sticking...

2. At start, the muffler dishes out thick white smoke... but after a while, its all good...

3. The engine pressure starts off at max the gauge, then drops gradually as the engine keeps running..

Ive only managed to run her for about 15 - 20 kilometers at a time.. scared i might break her or something..

any ideas gentlemen? or this is as it should be... thanks

Kamusta? I live in Pasig and have never been to Banawe st in Q.C. I have hears horror stories about vendors there. But I was told by members and friends on 4x4 dotph that Kazen has most of what I need. Have you dealt with them in the past?

Maraming Salamat!
