HI all, Just curious if anyone has the toyota or aftermarket part ## for a bj74

Rad hoses upper and lower
P/S ALT and A/C belts

Thanks alot

Just call Gord or Dan at JP Toyota in Surrey...they both drive Cruisers and a lot of us buy parts off of them so they know the parts numbers off the top of their head. (604) 597-3637. For belts and stuff that have longer service intervals, I would stick with OEM. That way you know that they are quality parts right off the bat and don't have to change them soon after. Those belts are tight and a b*tch to get the new ones on...I had a few choices words that I was yelling out doing one paticular belt. :D You'll have to check the tension and likely re-tighten them in a couple of months. Cheers.

Quick question regarding the belts, how tight should they be? Replacing the two belts (3B, no a/c) and of course the Toyota service manual states to make use of a tool to measure the belt tension. With the engine running, how much movement of the belts should there be?

They should be snug, but not too tight to damage any bearings. I can push downa few mm on my belts, but they are fairly snug. There shouldn't be any deflection when the pulleys are turning...I know I have a little on my PS pulley and it's making a little bit of noise...maybe a few $$$ in the not too distant future.
