I have a bike rack that hung on the back of our GX470 and carried 2 bikes. The top straps would fit under the "spoiler" on the back and strap to the top of the rear barn door.

So I tried using the same rack on my GX460 and since there is no space under the "spoiler" for the straps, I would have to get a hitch rack. Well, on ETrailer these "strap racks" are said to work on our GX460. Below is a picture showing a rack that is hanging off a "spoiler." I don't think either pic is a GX460, but you gotta admit it looks like the same setup.

So, the question is: Does anyone do this on this forum?

I would advise against it.

Get a receiver hitch rack.

Those racks really should only be used on cars.

Thats a 20 year old RX and a Honda Fit.

I'm a big fan of the Yakima swing daddy. 4 bikes and swings away with the bikes so you can still get to the GX door. Originally bought it for the FJ C but works great with the GX.

From my perspective, it looks like the weight of the bikes pulling down on the spoiler would crack the spoiler, unless it's only one very light bicycle.

Agreed! It seems crazy but ETrailer, whom I respect, says its ok. Weird.

OfferUp and FB marketplace are typically full of bike racks this time of year. I picked up a Saris 4 bike hitch mount for $50. Within days several Thule and Yakima popped up, all under $100. We aren’t avid bikers and don’t take our bikes on any long distance trips, so I wasn’t worried about a lower tier carrier. I did replace all the hardware with stainless though.

This is the way.
