I missed out on the Cruiser swap-meet today because of a couple other Cruiser related events I personally had going. Completed the sale of my FJ40 (went to a new Cruiserhead up in Seattle). And, I brought home my new FZJ80 from Denver (just got home about an hour ago). It's a '97 LC, locked, 3" Old Man Emu lift, Slee Step Sliders, T-Case Skid Plate, Safari Snorkel, ARB bull bar, Superwinch, Kaymar rear tire carrier, 285's on blacked out Tacoma wheels, Durabak'd fenders, rocker panels, and hood, Lightforce 170's, CB w/ Firestick, etc. Need to do a little baselining on it (fix leak at rear main or arch seal, recharge A/C, belts, etc.), but overall its in pretty nice shape and the PO took good care of it.

I'll get more pics up tomorrow when the sun comes up, but here are a couple from the ad from Expedition Portal.

Adam,
Congrats on the 80! I remember seeing that up on the portal for sale and wondered where it went.

Very nice, Adam. I'm sure you'll be happy with it. Congrats.

Nice ride Adam. Now you and your Fam can have some fun trips. Can't wait to see it in person. We'll have some kind of gathering sometime this summer. Maybe a wrenching day, even though it seems that rig doesn't require any. Good score......

Thanks guys, I am liking it. It feels huge compared to driving the 40 around. Spent the day detailing it inside and out. Here are a couple pics.

Nice one. Probably gets better gas mileage as well.

woohoo

Congrats man! I am impressed.

Very nice! Now that it's all cleaned up, let's go get it dirty! ;p

Thanks guys. I miss my FJ40, but I like this 80 too. Now if I can just keep the wife from trying to take it over....

Nice Score ! yea we missed ya at the swap meet but I think I would have been MIA myself if I had a chance to pick up this baby

Whew - I'm so glad I was able to unload that lemon... :)

I hope you get many years use and tons of happy memories out of that rig. I built it up with a long term relationship in mind... You should be set for ANYTHING!

Take good care of her - I'll look forward to seeing / reading about your adventures!

Jump that thing yet?

Compared to the 40, this thing feels 4x heavier. I almost miss those leaf springs....well maybe not entirely.

Noah, thanks for the tip on the landtank maf housing. I am going to have to check that out. Sounds like a good upgrade.

Thanks.

ya got me

Says the guy who sold TWO 80s to buy a 40

Sorry, I couldn't resist...

I will always be befuddled until I can buy more than one car:D.
