In need of a female hinge for a bifold door.

@65swb45 Mark, thank you! Mine broke just like that. I need that female hinge piece that is broken. I certainly am willing to buy a set or sets if you have them to make it worth your time. I also am in need a shock tower and a starter for a ‘64 40.

I can certainly weld a piece on to replace the broken part, as well as release the two halves. That would more than meet the minimum order by itself.😉

Pretty sure that I have the shock tower too.

I’m right there with your thinking. I’ve cleaned up the 2 pieces to weld them back together if needed. I’m also thinking about putting a piece of same-width plate in my forge and bending a loop of the appropriate size in the end of it to fit the pin.
Hopefully won’t come to that but gotta-do what ya-gotta-do!

Monday bump...

Anybody with any corrugated hard top panels laying around that might still have it attached and are willing to take it off a sell it separately (part indicated by the red arrow)?

Good chance I have one on the early corrugated sides. Getting to them is another matter.

Let me check and how hard it is going to be. Put these up there seventeen years ago. Seventeen years younger it was much easier to get at them.

WOW! And the Pollux Orange fender--awesome.

In all seriousness, unless it is something you can get to without too much trouble or, more importantly, injuring yourself, no worries.

I really appreciate you taking the time to even consider it.

I am blown away by how frozen the male and female parts of the hinges are on our door. Lucky only one of the two female hinges broke. I have been soaking them in PB Blaster for days. The unbroken one finally came loose with a drift and 1# hammer. The second (broken one) is completely locked up. After days of soaking and "thermocycling" it several times with my oxy-acetylene torch, it has budged only slightly with the drift. Looks like I might need to get my 20 Ton press after it.
