Is getting HID lights as simple as switching out the bulb or is it the whole housing?

Not simple... there are "kits" available but do nothing to improve your lighting.

Hard to believe the 200 doesn't have HID's !! Are they projector or just halogen ?? Hell, doesn't the Avalon have HID's ???

Yeh, I can't believe it doesn't have projectors or HIDs. Even the Toyota Prius has HIDs.
The 200 has halogen reflectors, so nothing really different. Boring...
Hopefully they'll have 'em on the later year 200s.

I am more interested in performance then looks. So if they perform just as well, then that is kewl.

But yes..bummer it doesn't not have them...kind of surprised.

AFAIK, the LX570 will have HID's.
