I have had both the at's and mt's and I like the mt's a lot more. They do so much better offroad and really the only thing you loose on road is the quietness but it isn't really that much louder at all. Oh and they wear just a little quicker. Go mt plus they look more bad ass!

Interco TrXxus is the tire for you!

I've had both AT BFG's and MT BFG's...the TrXxus are the perfect combo of both tire...great in the mud, and awsome on snow and ice!

Easy to say living in the south where there is no snow to worry about. :) Most everyone agrees that the big tread block/no siping MT's of any brand are not great in the wet, slushy icy conditions we have up this way.

The BFG AT' are fantastic in those conditions though. I have them in the 33x10.5 size and they have been stellar this winter. "Peeper" pretty much summed up their weakness offroad though (mud).

If I was getting a more agressive tire, it would me a TrXus MT, hands down.

I've had long-time period close experience with two sets of TrXus M/T's and I was not impressed. They were good in the mud, about the same as my BFG M/T's, not as good as my TSL Radials.

They wore VERY fast, and got progressively louder as they wore. One truck had problems with side lugs delaminating.

They do have siping-which nice for wet pavement and snow/ice.

Check out Bridgestone Dueler M/T's. I believe they have siping, M/T tread, good wear life. (Good friend has been running a set for a few months now). This will probably be what my 80 gets next.

i love tire threads...

i am getting the 34x12.5s Trxus on Thursday :flipoff2:

also, the Dueler M/Ts I had were NOT siped and they SUCK in the snow. My friend had an e30 M3 that was performing better on packed snow with friggin all season tires than my previous FJ62 was in 4wd. it was hard packed snow covered road.

after i sold the truck the PO called me pissed off because the dueler M/Ts were so bad in the snow.

Considering I'll be driving in the ice and snow, more than mud, I should prolly go ATs then. Damn I really like the MT look ;) .

If you're going to be doing more ice/snow driving, you'll want to go with a more narrow tire. The 33 x 9.5 ATs would be the way to go. Also, if your truck isn't lifted at all, you have to go with 9.5s for the clearance. I believe that anything wider will rub in the front when you turn.

Go Goodyear MTR & you will be happy-I'm not bias due to having a set I have wheeld & driven to trail events-simply the best tire!

Get the M/T's or the MTR's. If you are jonesing for bigger tires now, it's either because you have MIBS or you are wheeling and need more tire. Either way a more off road oriented tread fits the bill better.

Jes once said that the M/T's were the best All Terrain tires he had ever seen. Pretty true.

Just put the 33 x 12.5 BFG MTR on the 60 and love em!

Took off 33 x 12.5 BFG AT - loved em - but the mud was deep and I got tired a shovelin....

I price was not an option I would go Good year MTR's since it is I go with whatever I find a good deal on. This time it is BFG MT 33x12.5 $75 for a set :) yeah I find deals :)

Get a Sam's Club membership. You will be able to buy 5 BFG's for the price of 4 at a tire store. They can order any size that BFG produces.

And Greg is right, I did say that the BFG MT is the best all terrain that I have ever seen, but I have never wheeled in the snow. I think you will be happy with the MT's. Especially since you are only driving about 3 miles a day now

We're gonna miss yall at the Round-UP.

Then I guess they are not siped. :D

No ice here...

Good on wet pavement...

I have heard that the different sizes of Trxus M/Ts are made at different factorys, apparently to different specs.

and more size options, 33muds only come in the 12.50 flavor, from what i recall.
my bro has 33-9.50 MTs
ive had both, mud terrains look sweet but honestly i believe that the ATs are the best all around tire ever made, they are by far the best tire ive ever delt with in the snow, performed wonderful offroad and got insanly good wear(for how i used them) for the money, you cant go wrong!!!

anyone tried the BFG Krawler T/A

I wanted to go with those, but I don't think they make them in any size smaller than 35. I bet the websites I looked at are outdated though.

We recently got a membership strictly for diapers and wipes for the little one. I guess it will come in handy for me now! Thanks for the info. Were did you go to get them mounted?

GAWD I'm going to miss going and being around yall.

I think 33x9.5 is too skinny on a heavy 60/62, and I'm not alone in that opinion. Yes, it fits well with no lift but aired down and off camber, they get scary (IMO). Probably fine on the street though.
