Wich tire would you choose?
in a 35-12,5 \ 15 size...

to fit my 1993 BJ(now HZJ)73....
i´m thinking in putting 8" wide rims.

it will be my trail rig, but he will have to do pretty well in the hwy..
i´m not interested in any kind of A\T tires.
i had BFG A\T 295-75\16, and i want to go 35

my choice wold be toyo MT
but they're not avaliable in this part of the world..

so....
i narrowned my choice to this..

which, and why wold you choose?
which, and why would you avoid?

it will be mostly street drive, some mud and snow, few rock..
and time to time sand.

sorry for my "rusty" english..:o

thanks for your input guys..

First of all anything under 16 X 7" for a rim , alloy works fine

Anything 16 X 8" and over I prefer steel

My Cooper STTs are going on 2.5 years old , I absolutely love them ! 315 , 75 R16

BFG tires are from the 80s

I have a set of Yoko Geolandars MT pluses that are going on 6 years old on my HJ 61 , they are OK I guess.

If you are going to spend most of your time on pavement , I would get an A/T

rims will be 15x8 -44

BFG are very popular around here. cooper are not.
i'd rather like the coopers over the others...

thanks for your reply, and sorry my bad english

any more input?

Your English is good

I prefer the coopers over any other tire that I owned because of the ability to take steel ; as in nails and sharp metal objects.

I have been in a few situations where my Cooper STTs have taken steel and was able to continue the rest of the expo with out repair work until I got home 4000kms later.

When a tire takes steel and loses presure while in use , the steel ( with its sharp edges) will keep cutting and expanding the hole it had punctured causing the tire to lose most of its presure.

The tread pattern is also very important ( its ability to be a self cleaning tread )

Good luck with your purchase!
