Considering BFG AT replacements for the stock Michelins soon.
One of the online tire stores had reviews about poor tread life.
What is the experience of folks on the forum?

Thanks, and a great labor day weekend to all!

I had them on my Bronco and Suburban and both trucks would get about 50,000mi out of them before they were down to the wear bars.

I had a set of the originals ATs. They ran forever, but sidewall was pretty soft despite their advertising claims. That said, I think they're still one of the best ATs on the market.

Those reviews could not be more wrong. The BFG AT's last forever. I've got around 15k on mine and they are like new. I have two friends with over 50k on their AT's and still going strong. I've heard 60k is not unrealistic.

45-50 thousand miles, although the side walls now seem to be cracking much sooner than previous year models I bought. MIke

i've heard of them going nearly 100k on a lightweight rig (like a pickup). for our heavy rigs they'd probably do 50k easily. my uncle's got a set of them on a Burb and he's got 50k on them with almost 1/4" tread left. they last a LONG time and are a good for the price, but everybody and their brother runs them....

Thanks everybody.

Sams Club quoted me $1015 installed for 4
Sound like a decent price?

All depends on the exact size, but it sounds in the right ballpark. I normally go on Tire Rack, print out their price and take it to my local tire shop to price match.

For what size? I got my 285's at Costco during their $70 off 4 for like $850 otd. The ATs are one of the only off-road tires with a tread life warranty. I may be soon seeing if that holds water as the set I have on now are at 30k and I don't expect them to go another 20k.

Discount Tire in Texas beats Sams everytime, much better service too. MIke

Quoted price was for 285/75R16
FWIW Sams club said "no mileage warranty" -not sure if that was a Sams Club policy or BFG

Will check out tire rack and Costco too.

40-50K I would guess.
My jeep got 60k and a coworker got 80 on his Titan.

Just rotate often.
