Buyer beware.....

I have given @JDMStanNTopSoft a lot of time to respond, and he has not given any contact, I paid $2800 for a BJ73 soft top back in March of this year, expecting it to take quite some time to get it made and shipped, but I do expect some communication about the progress. I started asking for updates back in June, with no reply. I have tried to be patient, however, at this point, I want to warn others about this, as I can see he is still active on MUD, actively trying to sell parts...

His email is Tokyo Drift vintagetokyodrift@gmail.com

@ToyotaMatt saw you were chatting with him on something as well

Hello,

You have all the right to be upset
It's 90% complete. We are just waiting on the rear arches from Japan. In the past, we were shipping refurbished backs, which would get slightly rusty. Now we have new ones. We have four orders. Will be shipping as soon we receive them.

Thanks for the update.... staying tuned.

That is a very long wait.

Can you post pictures of the softtop you make?

Yes. It is a long wait. No denying that. But the end product that @2fpower will now receive will be a highly improved one, with issues strengthened and straightened.

Ben has great photos of his top on his build thread. Posting photos of the other tops we have done till now. Jason's Land Cruiser can also be seen.

@JDMStanNTopSoft

Can you give me a hard date that you are going to ship these?

If you are just waiting on one piece, can you ship the rest out? I can't imagine it would cost much more for the one piece you are waiting on.

@FJ73Texas @FJBen

awesome..... thank you for the update.

I would just add, if you could post some pictures to this thread up stuff packed and the new rear arch, that would go a long ways In helping.

I get lots of questions about the top so I just want to make sure stuff is all good and moving forward.

The soft top fabric and hardware is ready, since July/August. Just waiting for the rear arch expected for this week...
We have two more orders after these three...

I ordered a steering wheel in “factory oak/brown” on June 4, 2022. I only received minimal communication after the sale, and some
PM’s requesting updates went unanswered. Originally quoted 2-3 weeks for arrival but did not get it until much much later, but it did arrive. Now after a very short period of time after mounting the steering wheel, is has completely reverted back to the factory gray color after clearly being dyed. I have not cleaned or even got the steering wheel wet at all. No touching other than mounting it bc my 100 has sat bc of gas prices lately as it is not my DD. I mean…this has been all around sketchy, for an almost $400 steering wheel.

I guess I will take this opportunity to say the altimeter pod I got from him turned out to be complete junk and useless as far the internals of it goes. I get buying used parts is a risk but this thing is more trash worthy rather than used part. I haven't even tried to resolve the issue anymore at this point.

Well that is not good…. However I did receive communication that the top is headed to customs. We’ll see

His communication was ok with me also up until the sale was made then absolute silence shortly after when some issues came up. At least I did get the parts so there is that.

What you have is a brown steering wheel. Not a gray one ...

This is what I sent you. It can be a different shade of brown. Not gray.
