Hey guys, I'm a bit new to this & just learning the site so forgive me if this question was already asked. I recently got a set of older bestop half doors for my 77' fj40 and although they fit I am unable to secure the doors. There's is a different type of latch set-up, these are obviously older doors & photo's emails & talking to the representative at bestop was unsucessful. These look like the older FJ40 handle's (Pre 75) any ideas on how to use these? I have attatched pictures of the handles & doors. thanks!

Sounds like to me that you have the doors with the same latching style as the rear ambi doors? If so you should only need the older style door striker. I am going to have to go through the same thing when I finish my half doors. Hope this helps.

Look at the striker area of the door jamb. The early FJ40's were thin in this area. From 1975'ish and newer the door jamb got thicker in this area and the older door don't really work that well.
I am totally guessing on what your problem is and what you are looking at.
