Hi all, coming from the 100 section. Are the 08-15 LX570s easier to mod than the 16+? Or are al LX years the same I know if you want to regear the 2016+ you need to source different diff carriers. IS this it?

I think the front end up to '15 is generally better for mods, but front bumper options are starting to pop up. I also think you get more benefit from re-gearing the 6 speed over the 8 speed. Aside from that, I think there isn't much difference, but I'm no LXpert...
The main difference is older years are likely cheaper. So more money for mods.
Try post three of the faq, it links to a couple threads explaining the model year differences. Pick a level of ancient tech and proceed. All have the same chassis and suspension system.

I am not aware of anybody that has deleted AHC from a 16+ LX. The 16+ LX are very difficult to install a roof rack properly since the holes are captured from the bottom and require removing the headliner to install properly.
I went with 14 because of the 16+ predator bumper, 8 speed and the headliner drop w/ roof rack, etc.
Main reason was the cost... It was somewhat double the price of 10-14 model years compare to 16+
13-15 offers a little better Bluetooth, rear entertainment system not pocking down from the ceiling, front HID, some added crawl mode, turn assist, etc.
My advice is get 08-15 model years and find lowest milage LX you could afford.
I just got 14 w/ 160K... I'm already replacing bunch of stuffs but it will be solid after I finish the work.

Thanks for all the responses! Wife really likes the 16+....... Other than the roof rack it seems like they are mostly the same.
You can check out my build thread for info on a 16’+ with mods. There are only 1 or 2 other heavily modified 16+ LXs that I have seen. In general, the 16 has a much much nicer interior, thats what got me. There isn’t really much of a difference in mod capabilities, so basically it comes down to what you can afford. If you can afford a 16 or newer than I see no reason why you would purposely seek out an older one, unless you prefer the style of it.
Keep in mind the joystick nav in 16+. To some including myself, it was a dealbreaker along with the exterior styling.
