I'm going to put the 3rd row seats (which are in perfect condition) in my storage/garage.

What do you guys suggest I do to keep them the way they are looking -- plastic bags/boxes? I don't want them to get ruined.

I figured when I need them I'll use them, but in the mean time, take out 100 pounds and utilize that large trunk area

Cheers

I took mine and had them vacuum sealed in mil-spec plastic back in 1999. I've not unsealed them yet but I assume they'll come out okay.

wow, that sounds great.

but i do want to have access to them since we do large group trips for snowboardnig.... so maybe something a little more temporary

I am looking for the same solution. Temporary but also preferrably mouse proof. Dang critters regularly come looking for food in my garage.

I took mine and put two large black heavy duty trash bags around each of them....stuck on top shelf and left them there. Until I sold them as I never used them...did not plan on it....they are heavy...and someone bought a truck and they were missing so sold them to him. Duct tape around seam of bags where they overlap keeps bugs out.

I have mine out , and swap one in regularly when in people hauling mode. My kids fight over who will get to ride in the back so it is a novelty. I keep mine on a rack in the garage with a cover. I do inspect them and clean them from time to time. I have used the trash bag method and that work fine for me too for long term storage up in the garage rafters.

Out on the curb with the garbage.... once you take them out, it's high unlikely you will put them back in.

garbage?! i'd at least try to make a buck off it

i like the idea of swapping one in...two just seems like a waste of space. 6 is a nice round number of passengers

same here but they are stored on top of the ATV's;) Aka, substitute shelves

I have 4 kids. Garbage is not a viable option for me.

no kids for me, but i may as well be a soccer mom since i'm the one always driving all my people around !

Since they are easier to pull out that the 80 Series seats, I leave them in the truck until I need to haul something that I need to pull them for:meh:

I leave them in the my kids playroom (alt living room) as theater chairs for movie nights.
My kids love climbing all over them for some reason. I have 2 sets so I have 2 rows in my theater. Work so well I am thinking of getting rid of the couch in that room all together.

I use storage bags made specifically for the 100 3rd row seats by SOR. They are good quality bags and are worth the cost, IMO.

Holy over think. Big Glad bag, done.

Umm, in my case a mouse would eat through a garbage bag and make a nest inside the cushion in about 2 minutes.

Ahhh the joys of Country Living.

Like the Playroom seating idea though.

I did the double trash bag thing for both third rows and stacked them on the top shelf in the garage. The mice keep eating through the bird seed bag on the bottom shelf, so they don't care about trying to make it up to the top. Sacrificial bag, I guess.

After reading this mine will have to go. Will never use them and are like new. What a waste of good leather.
