What methods do you use to ship large, heavy parts around the country (for instance, an 89 bumper)? Whta kind of packing material do you use and what method of shipping?

just had 4 33x12.5s (56lb.) shipped via DHL and their prices undercut UPS by more than half ($29 per to a residence). got here (maryland) in 2 days from NC. on a bumper, you can just wrap the bumper in cardboard (like a tube), with some packing underneath, and cap off the ends.

just the other day i saw my dhl guy at the postal office and ask him when he got to my house why was he delivering boxes to the postal service .he said they do not have there own planes for there own air mail so they use dhl for that service. thats why dhl is so much cheaper than some places.boy was i surprised

You forgot to tell them three tires got there before the fourth.

But what a great value compared to UPS at like 200 for the four.
