Best way to seal oil pan

Guys, pan has been leaking through gasket. I bought the sealer through Toyota.

What is the best way to seal? Put the pan on and hand tight the screws only and leave it for 24 hours for seal to set and then torque to specs?

Would appreciate guidance.

Toyota FIPG is the very best of the best.
scrape, brake-clean, and dry both mating surfaces.
Apply the fipg, it dries fairly quickly, i think you only have 15 mins to work with it.

i would go to full torque at the time of application. The torque on those little 10mms is so little, i think it's less than 10ft-lb, most torque wrenches arent even going to go that low

Yes its 66 in-lbs or 5.5 ft-lbs

I have a small one that starts at 20 in-lbs

Is one tube of Toyota FIPG enough to do both pans or is more than one needed?
