upgrade wiring harness to the headlights and modern day bulbs like hella round eyes. I LOVE seeing at night and the old lights just don't do it for me. not only does it make driving in the dark easier and more enjoyable but it's also safer.

This is for a young lady so.
Side step to allow wearing if dresses to clime on and out.

Yes, a lifted 40 with big tires is not conducive to being lady-like. Neither is one with the hard top and doors off - makes for some strange and wonderful air currents inside the cab versus the skirt or dress. Best that she wear jeans or shorts.

Totally disagree,

its best to learn to drive in the worst car, that way you can get into anything and know you can drive it.

Same as learning to weld, most people that learn on a MIG never learn stick.

Well said, although I still can't lay a passable Arc weld. My best lesson in vehicle dynamics was towing 4 tonnes with a HJ47...

I'm with you on the learning to drive part, its the other morons on the road I worry about.

Poison spyder plugs for seat belts in front and back which are welded into roll cage- made me feel safer and also have 2 in car seats.

For me, one of the best things I did for day to day driving was to sand blast the tub and Line X the interior. It looks really nice and it definitely helped with the heat and noise (not to mention the rear bed was getting pretty rusty). I'll probably dynamatt the trans hump and I'm planning on sealing up the firewall. After that, door seals and some new seats and it still feels like my crusty old FJ40 just slightly more civilized.

Door stop upgrade : Everytime that one of us gets in or out of the Yota, the door swings all the way out to bump the mirror - just enough.

So I fixed it !

The SOR replacement rubber stop is not thick enuf to stop the door in time. So, I grabbed two rubber stops from Lowes, drilled them, up sized the washer to slip over the rod arm and reinstalled :
