Where is the best place for OEM parts?
I don't have a dealer nearby.
I sent a e-mail to American Toyota and got a confirmation that they got it and someone was going to contact me and I have not herd anything yet. That was 2 days ago.
Where do you guys order parts?

I second going to Dan. You will need to be persistent in calling since he is a busy man but it is worth the effort. Make sure to mention you are from IH8MUD.

Talked to him the other day and he has about a million PM's, so make sure to call. I left a message and he called me back later that day.

x's 3 on CDan, but first, what year is your rig?

CDan can only go as far back as 1969 in his books. Anything older he can sometimes get, but you need to have the part number on hand.

If it is older than '69, and CDan cannot get it, and you can not find it on mud or ebay, then SOR have also been OK (not perfect)...but others have very different, not so nice, opinions...personally I'd buy from them again for my '64

Your local dealer! Get to know the guys behind the counter. I get GREAT pricing from my local dealer. OE parts for less then Kragen / Autozone. Some times cheeper then used parts here.

Would have been my first choice, but he stated that he does not have one near by....and some times Cdan can better the price, so he should check both

Cdan is the man! I see Dan and his guys at American Toyota once a week. I'm really lucky he is about 10 minutes away from my house. Those guys are working their butts off so give them a call and be aware they need time. They are shipping parts around the world. If you get a chance ask where they shipped that day, and you get answers like Africa, Asia, and Europe. By far some the best guys to work with and you get a great discount by being on MUD.
