Hi !

my sedimenter is leaking from the bottom of the can..

i need replacement..

i checked the forums.. poeple talking about the Racor filters.. and all..

if i want a simple .. close to the toyota .. sedimenter.. what would be the greatest buy.. ?

i dont need a heater and extra filtering.. just a plain good simple replacement for my long trusted toyota part.. ;) minus the costs... ( toyota 400$ + )

any ideas.. ?

Racor filters i read about.. that had heaters i think.. whre.. 445R and 645R
but i dont need that.. i dont think..

thanks all !

JM

ps: this time i'm diesel related thread ;-)

I have a good used one out of a BJ 42 with the 3B engine if your interested, no leaks in good condition....

Check out the Racors and GoldenRods. You can get spin on versions of both without heaters...

I have a CAV Lucas 269 filter on my HZJ80-turbo. I had a thread going on this subject a while back.

IMO the racors are really nice units, if I had another truck and needed one, i wouldn't hesitate to go racor again

do you guys think, it would be enough, just to put a filter that has a bowl un derneath for water seperation.. and put it in the stock place of the fuel filter ? if i could find one that fits.. ?

with the Racor.. i dont really need an extra filter.. jus it being a seperator would be enough.. the toyota was just a seperator.. then the fuel gets filtered by the filter it self.... with the racor, it gets filtered twice..

question.. with the racor filter.. let's say i get a non-presurized one.. will the fuel pump be strong enough to pump throught an extra filter ?

.. questions questions, i'm full of them.. ;-)

thanks !!

yeah.. did you get the fitting for it ? or you got a complete model.. and completelly replaced the stock filter assembly..

if you got the adapter to fit right into the stock assembly, i'd like to know where you got it..? and what are the filter numbers ? and all..

please tell more..

i need to fit it to my bj42.. 3b..

thanks

changing setup's always involves time and money.....might be in you best interest to just get the new/used toyota part and be done with it...as it sounds like your just looking to replace your leaky sedimentor

;) ;) ;)
