Here's a bit of an oddball question. I have an amazing little diesel Hilux with bed damage. I also happen to have a spare 79 series bed sitting around because Greenpump is an enabler. I am going to hack the bed in half, cut out 3 inches, then weld and install. The Hilux has a hilariously small tank (10ish gallons). I was going to get an extended tank, but they are like $2,500. So Greenpump (told ya), was all, why not just throw in a second 79 series tank since the bed is there anyway? Questions being:

Should I add another fuel valve and switch to go between the 2?
Should I just add a transfer line between the 2 so that I can refill on the trail? (What would be the easiest way to plumb that without having to worry about overfilling it?)
Is there an easy way to get these to auto level so that the existing fuel gauge would still read somewhat correctly? (Maybe a bottom transfer line between the 2 tanks?)

Or should I suck it up and just try to weld my own custom extended tank and fill in the extra diesel fuel fill door?
