Need floor mat suggestions for my wife's LC. The originals are done and with two kids at 3 and 1 year old.....I want to protect the carpet which is still in great shape.

My new-to-me 2005 didn't come with any mats. I scoured everywhere for OEM all weather mats and didn't have any luck. I started looking at all the reviews of the custom fitted aftermarket brands, and was not convinced I was going to be happy with the pricey ones. Then, I decided to go to our local parts store (O'Riley Auto Parts) and the nice gentleman behind the counter let me take 7 different kinds of their all weather mats out to my truck to see if they would fit, and voila! What do you know, as set of $20 Armor All brand ones actually fit the bill. Didn't even have to cut them. They stay put real nice too. Here they are on Amazon it looks like: https://www.amazon.com/Armor-78831-2-Piece-Season-Rubber/dp/B00LTX7ULE
It's just the fronts, though. I had to find some for the rear separately at another store.
I am interested to see what others chime in with. Best of luck in your search!

@sic4x4chic you got any pics of them installed? I've been looking as well and am not sold on weather tech due to fitment issues.

Weather Tech is popular, and can be a good option. I have them in the first 2 rows. But fitment is hit or miss.

My advice:
- Order Weather Tech mats
- Install and assess
- Return the mat or mats that don't fit well
- Repeat until you have a set that fits well
- Absolutley ignore their customer service rep's advice to fix poor fitment. Be a pain in their ass and just keep returning the mats 'til you're happy.

My driver side mat fit as if it were poured into the space - looks like their ad. The passenger side mat looks like I stole it from a Pathfinder. I wish I'd followed the above steps when I got mine. I tried their customer service rep's advice, e.g. leave in the sun, let it settle in etc, Nope. That mat fits the same way it did out of the box. I've tried the sun, a hairdryer, a heat gun... nope

It's raining cats 'n dogs right now, so you get to see them in action. I'm still contemplating if I want to buy a grommet kit for the drivers side anchor. They don't fit "exact," but they fit good enough IMO for $20 bucks.

@sic4x4chic They look pretty good for cheap universal mats, Thanks!

Universal Goodyear mats seem to fit alright. They're cut to fit and seem fairly sturdy. Front and middle in tan. 10$ at costco.
