whats the best electric fan out there to use with an oem original radiator and that is the best price?

Ive read about black magik but they are $200+, anyone have a good supplier of these?

thanks

Ditto the Tarus fan, cheap and it looks heavyer duty than the others I have seen. Mine works great and a buddy with a heep is on his 2nd flex-rite, I think thats what he has, in 1 yr and his heep rarely runs. JL

You guys have to modify anything in order to fit the Taurus fan? I just picked up a Taurus fan, and it looks like it's going to be a very tight fit, if even doable without doing something to the grill mesh. I can't move my radiator back at all either.

The Taurus fan is a puller, so it goes between the radiator and the engine. It sounds like you are thinking about putting it in front of the radiator ???

...and, to elaborate on what Medusa said, most fan blades are specific to puller or pusher duties, and you don't wanna try and rely on a puller fan to be efficient or effective as a pusher.

I ran a 16" push/pull fan from Summit for a while, in front of the rad...I removed the mesh entirely and instead incorporated that mesh in with the bezel itself for motor clearance.

Pulled that, swapped to a prototype custom electric fan (~5 made, I somehow got one free) and it cooled my rig great in Moab.

I did (do if I can get it to fit) intend to run the Taurus as a pusher. Just by feel, it seems to push as much as it pulls. It's going to be backup fan to the regular puller on the engine.
