I want to put some 1" wheel spacers on my 99 when I move to 35" tires which I will be putting on asap... Who has the best deal on these? Any ones I should stay away from?

Stay away from ebay! Get them from Slee or JT! JT has 1, 1.25 and 1.5 inch spacers! Cant go wrong with either of these two retailers!

okay i didn't say the cheapest thing available... i've seen some real cheap on ebay... was looking for a recommendation or best deal on a good wheel spacer... if anyone has run different sizes do you prefer one over another? i was initially thinking of something in the 1.25" or 1.5" range but after doing some reading if seems like 1" will do the trick? as always appreciate the advice! don't like ordering things more than once!

Jgray,

I have a pair of 1 &1/4 that are used for i month that i bought from JT (the good ones) I am going down to 1 inch due to the perticular wheel and tire i selected. I paid $175 and i will sell them for $140 shipping included.

Dan - You are running the TRD wheels now IIRC? 17"? I have OEM 16" currently but am also considering some other wheel options... I still kinda prefer the look of a 16" wheel but have been looking hard at 18's... I will strongly consider your spacers just want to do a little more research... Will let you know in the next day or so...

Does anyone know the optimum spacer for a OEM 16" wheel? How about 18" wheel? I was planning to order 1" after a little reading... Any reason not to go with 1.25"?

jgray,

Rock Warrior wheels actually.

Let me know on the spacers when you can. no rush

when articulating or stretching the legs of the 100 will the 1" spacer allow the tires to stuff more nicely into the wheel well than the 1.25 or 1.5"? I know my tire brand will also affect this but trying to find out what most people have found... Do the 1.25" or 1.5" rub the fenders more? I'm trying to get everything I need to eliminate rubbing... I also seem to have come across more people selling used bigger spacers (1.25 or 1.5") more than the 1" version... I know a lot of people run spacers and just end up removing and moving back down in tire size too so I've seen a number for sale on mud over the years...

Or sawzall the fenders.

i'm going to a 35" tire in some form... plenty of people on here run 35's...

Loud - you've had so many rim and tire combinations you should know what spacer to run with a 35 to eliminate or get minimal rubbing... i'll will probably also add Spresso's small body lift to help this as well...

Hoser - you run a 35 correct? what spacer are you using? what rim / tire size are you running?

I already have minimal rubbing...and that is after lowering the rear bumpstops 2". No spacers done, I just adjusted the turn stops a little. Still hits the frame on full lock on the wheel to the inside of the turn. Meh.
If I pushed the wheels out on the front, I think I'd start hitting the washer bottle guard, and the fender lip. Just ask spresso about doing that :D

My 35x12.5R18's with 1.25" spacers rub on the fender lip and sometimes on the washer reservoir despite all the trimming. To minimize rubbing, I would think 285/75r18's with 10mm spacer and a 1" body lift would be a good bet. Or, like I said, sawzall to the fender.

Darth, I suspect you had 315/70R17's which are 34.5" and are moving to 305/70R17 which are closer to 34" in diameter. Right?

And to clarify spacers... your 1/4 (~6mm) spacer on RW wheels is the equivalent of 16mm spacers on stock LC/LX wheels. RW wheels have a different offset.

I'm stepping down in size next time around too probably. I'd love some RW wheels...+50 sounds perfect :D

Correct,
I had to run the spacers on the RW wheels to clear the bolts on the end of the hub.'
