My wife's uncle is getting rid of everything in one of his barns. Essentially a junk collection from all the farm sales he's been too in his life. I spent 20 minutes trying to dismount a large vise from a welding bench. Wasn't having much luck and decided to give up for the day and try again some other time. Long story short I moved a piece of tin roofing out of the way and found these guys laying in the dirt. First up a Columbian 205-M2 ,a real backbreaker this one.

Followed up with a Wilton ? I think that's right. Rather interesting as it has two vises, one on each end. It's currently frozen up but I think I can soak it free.

Nice scores for sure. The Columbian is much better than most of the stuff you can buy new. I got a 1939 Craftsman vise made by Rock Island for $10 at a yard sale. It weighs 65 pounds. I was going to use it on my welding table, but it is too nice to get a lot of welding splatter on it.

Nice find!
