Just curious if anyone else has run into this.

Coming home today I noticed a pretty nice squeal coming from under the hood. It was directly correlated to engine rpm's. Engine had been running for an hour and outside temps were 55* F so it wasn't a cold engine or outside temp issue.

Popped the hood and its definitely coming from the power steering pump pulley. Hoping it's just the belt and not a shot pump or pulley.

Anyone else faced this before? Searched here and tundra forums but couldn't get any definitive.

Thanks. Did find that after I posted but seemed like a lot of the reported complaints out there were associated with cold temps and went away after things got warm.

If it ends up being the belt alone, I'll report back for future searches.

Had my idler pulley go out and make that same noise. Happened right after water pump was replaced by dealer.

Luckily, swapping out the belt seems to have resolved the issue. Dealer wanted $250 in labor alone. Took about 25 mins and a few wrenches.

All good again.
