I'm trying to order a pair of OME 860's for my 98 and couple of shops have already told me that they only fit 2000+ LC's, and that 98-99 LC's need 865's. I have no idea why they wouldn't fit my 98. OME's catalog also states only 865/866 work for 98-99 models. Am I missing something?

I think both have the same spring rate, but the 860 is taller. Maybe an inch taller than the 865.

Ya, that's why I wanted the 860's. Not sure why the ARB/OME catalog lists only 865's fitting 98-99 LC's and 860's fitting 2000+. Anyway, thanks again for the response and confirmation. I ordered my new springs!

I had someone tell me that 860 would not fit on my 2000. I called slee and they told me they would fit. They are on mine now with no problems.

You need to work with shops that know the trucks not just able to read the ARB application guide.

Im all for supporting the right shops, but for some of us budget takes top priority. If you could've matched $165 shipped then I totally would've bought from you at the same time I ordered the second battery tray. When I upgrade to 863's then I'll contact you guys first.

Honestly, if you look through the different versions of ARB/OME application guides and component specs, it just makes you shake your head and wonder if the person that wrote it ever talked to the engineering team that designed the parts.

Rob FTW.
