Here are some pictures of my 60 before and after an OME lift w/o SR.
My wife is 5'9" with her shoes on for a size reference on the lift and 33x10.5 bfg's. The stock tires measured just 28" tall under full weight.

Wow very nice indeed. A little armor and next thing ya know she'll let you drive it to the store. Someone has to spot for her on the trail boulders, right?

Great looking truck

Pretty much the only wash it gets is from the melting snow or rian. The paint is a bad match for the original color, not much I can do about it.
The before and after is for a couple guys who wanted to see the OME lift on the truck. I am trading it for some stock springs so I can do a SOA this winter. Also, it does not start well when it is cold(or at all in the morning), it literally takes 10 minutes to fire over. So along with the SOA ,I am going to put an injection system from a 3fe to help with winter starts and driving. Fortunatley we are having a mild winter so far, it has been hitting 60 everyday. So once it gets started, it drives pretty good.
I am trading the lift because, without some weight in the back, it is not a good ride. OME heavies need some weight to ride nice. Also, I want a little more lift. I know most like to fill up their fenders with tire, but I like to see a little room. I also want to rebuild my axles (bearings, brakes, lockers, ect...). Might as well learn sometihng new while I have it apart.
I am sure there are a lot of guys getting ready for some ambitious plans for the next few months. I hope I am not getting in over my head...

ok how much lift is that? i was gonna get the OME heavies front and back cos i have a long range fuel tank and 2 lpg tanks. your rig looks damn sweeeet.

2 1/2" Med/heavy. With a long rage tank, and/or a built bumper, it will ride sweet. As is, the front is perfect, but the rear is stiff. When I measured at the bumpers before and after the lift it was about 3" in the front, and almost 4 in the rear. I think it just goeas to show how much all our stockers have actually sagged.

yep i did have about a 2" lift once i think but its sagged a bit now and my rig rolls rather bad around corners, i dont think the PO took into acoount the extra weight of all the fuel so his springs are a bit flogged. theres still a bit of life left in them though, maybe enough to fit 33s with a litlle bit of rub.

Shackles in the rear might get you back the clearance you need, and keep the plush ride. A MAF SR gets you 1 1/2 in the front if you are sagging there too.

Yup.

There is something very wrong with your 60 if it will not start in the cold. IMHO there is no reason to go with a 3fe set-up, just fix whatever is wrong with your 60. Does your choke work?

Looks good man. Makes me want to blow some cash on bigger tires. See ya around.

I actually never did the SR, alpendubber did a nice job on his. And I considered going that route, but I have decided that SOA will suit me better.

I already have a low mile, but blown, 3fe to pull the injection off of. I have all winter to do it, and I think it'll be cool when it is done. I think the only real problem right now is a weak battery. Easy fix, but not fun.

Make sure you get a picture without your girfriend too, for when you don't own the truck or have her anymore lol. I made the same mistake and don't have a picture of my 4Runner without her in it anymore. j/k
