Here is another option to connect aftermarket navigation, rear view camera, external video sources (HD/DVD player, TV tuner) to the OEM car monitor.

I emailed the company and they said to transmit sound to the OEM audio system. You should connect the linear output of the interface (AV OUT cable) to the AUX input of your car.

Or

Could I listen to Bluetooth audio while on screen mirroring? As if I was navigating with maps but streaming audio from phone ?

Also how is it not possible to mirror though the AUX-USB with some kind of hack? It was designed for iPod video there must be a way...

It uses the A/V option within audio, so no other audio option will be active. It is strictly a one-way mirroring function, it doesn't send any user input back to the phone.

I can confirm Samsung S7 Edge with Oreo update still works with my setup. Drove across Texas, New Mexico, and Colorado last two days with it on almost non-stop. It still stutters now and then and the audio is behind the video about a half second, but other than that it works. I used a USB cord to the USB slot to charge instead of the wireless charging while mirroring to avoid overheating the phone.

Still happy with this setup @LALC? I was going to use the Prestigious Society mod but they refunded my money twice when ordering. This seems like a very good option. Have you had any issues?

Still working well. Roku works better than the netgear though, I tested it out and the sound syncs much closer to the video.

Excellent. thank you. Beat Sonic now has a different recommended casting device than the netgear one in your post/their YouTube video. But good to know roku works well. I appreciate the quick response

I just did mine to get the Apple TV up front as well (used to have on rear hdmi only)
Works perfectly well…
