Reviving this thread because I'm going to run some FS roads in N. GA on March 19th. Couple of guys from our local Waggy club want to run, so I'm leading. Anyone is welcome to join, but we are not going to Beasley. We just wanted to do some scenic roads with mild technical difficulty. Some of the other Waggies aren't lifted or running M/T's. We are meeting near Cartersville for breakfast and then heading up to Old Bucktown Rd which means we'd be up at Amicola Falls around noonish. If you are interested in joining, then contact me and we nail down exact meeting coordinates.

Here's a preview of the route.

looks interesting! after this weekends fun in the mud where i spent about 2hrs stuck i'd like some trail riding.

As of now we are planning a trip to take kayaks up to jocasse and do some fishing IF the weather is nice.

If there its cold and/or rainy i may be down for this.

What time is the meet up?

This is about 3hrs from where i live in greenville.

wish i could do this but cant afford gas!! 10mpg is not fun;

Our whole caravan party is actually meeting in Emerson, Georgia for breakfast at around 8:30 am at Doug's Place.

Then we are heading out for the mountains. If you would rather just meet us along the way, then I'd suggest being at the intersection of Hwy 52 and Southern Rd somewhere around noon (this is my best guess, can't guarantee timeliness with this group). If you don't want to wait, then just follow the route described here and I'm sure we'll catch up with you at the top of the mountain near Amicola Park Rd (the first map tag in the wilderness area).

I should have checked this forum sooner. I would have loved to go. I was to busy rebuilding my front axle to notice. (wHat a bitch)
