Hey Gents,
I have a quick question for any of you that run beadlocks. I recently acquired Hutchinson's Monster Rock wheels and mounted them with the BF Goodrich TA KO2. I did the work myself and prior to getting them balenced I saw online a picture of an inner rubber insert that some guys were using on their beadlocks. So my question is...Do I need to run the rubber inserts? OR is this more of a double beadlock? I was thinking the rubber insert was more for run flat scenarios and that the clamping down of the spilt rim onto the bead created the lock itself. Some of the videos I saw referred to the rubber insert as the bead lock and that it lock the inner and outer wheel.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Suprised no one answered this. the I set is the bead lock. without it it's just a 2 peice rim that is heavy and time consuming to mount. no low pressure bead holding assistance.

I think it was cross posted to another forum and answered there.

Edit: TheForger linked to it.

If they are anything like the HMMWV wheels I'm running, they require the rubber insert to both be a beadlock and be a safe tire/wheel combo. The HMMWV wheels do not have the raised portion that helps hold the tire bead in position.
