Hmmm...I might be able to make this one. Gotta a buddy coming in to town...if he makes it in on Friday then I should have the green light.

Excellent, hope it works out.

This could have a pretty good turnout.

Jack

My buddy dusty is gonna come too and further SOIL the run w/ a HEEP!!
Gonna be FUN!!

Oh crap, I have another jeep guy that wants to tag along as well, so that will make for a very dirty LC run with three jeeps...:flipoff2:

What's the world coming to? Next thing you know, cats and dogs will be getting along, republicans and democrats will work together for the good of the country instead of their own agendas...nah, that will never happen.:D

See everyone there.

Jack

That's it...I'm out. I'm not hanging with heepers.

:flipoff2:

Yeah I am thinking a stock, saggy butt FJ60 with stock tires and the fronts being HWY tires (read NO GRIP off road) is probably a bad idea!!
Looks like I will stick with fire roads for now until I can get some more "trail worthy" accessories. :D

For what it is worth I have taken my fullsize chevy p/u thru this canyon:meh:. It had stock tires and no lift. It was at night and I was alone trying to find my son that had rolled his fj40:eek::whoops:. I had to stack a few times and be real careful on the lines I took. No body damage with some NV pinstriping and a few dragging sounds on the under carriage. Your Landcruiser is better than my P/u for wheeling and the harder parts of this trail on the road part are closer to the end. If you wanted to hit the first part of the trail and then bail if you felt uncomfortable with the rest of it you could just turn around and go out the way we came in. It is a fun trail even if you do half of it. And should be a nice day. :hillbilly:

I'll throw my hat in the ring with another heep. It'll be a good primer for Moab during Easter Jeep Safari the end of March.

Oh MAN!!

This is gonna be a GREAT RUN!!
Only bad thing is there'll probably be more jeeps than toyotas as it stands!!

WTF?!

I've wheeled w/ jack and espresso exactly ONE time in all these years
Worm... I've not had the privilege.

Looking forward to getting out w/ you guys!

I guess you better rename the club to BBABNN

Battle Born All Brands of Northern Nevada :D

No doubt, I look forward to seeing Matti in action. I could have probably scraped up another Jeep or three...

Would you actually come back to the club then?! :flipoff:

Went out and did the pre flight maint. Checked the fluids, checked the bolts Washed the windows, ready to roll!!

:bounce:

Think I am going to pass on this one guys. Planning an Add-A-Leaf this summer and some better AT tires so probably will stay away from anything other than double track and fire roads until that time. Might try to catch a ride with someone down the road though or see if one of my buddies (heep owner or xterra owner) may want to join. That or maybe I can actually get Flight2K to show up to something!

Wheeling with me is JUST like wheeling with Jack and Spresso, except they eat better, know where they are going, come prepared, drink better coffee, don't break down, have a great time, laugh, have cooler shocks, did I mention they drink better coffee? usually have wild tales of untamed adventure and drink better coffee.

OTHER THAN THAT, IT'S THE SAME EXPERIENCE. ;)

Besides, I am not bringing the J**p. The guilt got to me, so I'm bringing out my latest import rig. I know a lot of Cruiser heads have far more experience identifying early prototype cruisers, but I think I found a pretty rare unit.

May I introduce the only known FJ-LJR

I knew I'd find a good spot for that TOYOTA sticker I had for the bed of my 45 series. I don't know why it looks red, because it's about as orange as you can get. With the exception of securing the load, I'm ready. See you guys in the a.m.

Good run all!!
It was great to see some faces that I haven't seen in a while and some new (ish) faces rolling today.
Gotta say... I really could have done WITHOUT the mud!!
Spent 8 bucks and almost an hour at the manual washer and just got the exterior of the rig cleaned. I H8MUD!!!
