Battery Powered String Trimmer (1 Viewer)

I came from as normal .. gas powered string trimmer / weedeater .. good, but got sick of the rope pull to start, choke, fuel / oil mix etc .. so I made the jump to battery powered tools ..

Move to Dewalt 20V since I have plenty other battery powered Dewalt tools .. both in 18V and 20V with great success so far ..

Short story, the 20V trimmer die on me this last weekend .. after one year of use ( not abuse ) while I was doing a more " demanding " job .. more demanding than usual . .

Anyhow .. I'm not sure if move to 40V trimmer ( they claim to have gas power and bla bla bla ) or other battery trimmer or get back to gas trimmers ..

So chime in with your opinion ..

I was impressed with the Stihl battery powered chain saw. Friend had one in a wheeling trip. I'm sure the trimmer would be good too.

But all my yard tools are still gas powered right now. For the record my Stihl trimmer normally starts on the first pull.

I've had great luck with my Echo SRM260S. I had a Ryobi trimmer prior to that, only one string, the charge was just enough for the yard - then it crapped out after a coupla years.

I've had really good luck with a black and decker. It's small and not very powerful but did a great job on normal lawn stuff when I trimmed a smaller yard.

I was in the edge with all of that .. took time to read about Still cordless trimmer as well as the Echo, the Echo line it's impressive, I mean having the lawmower and all stuf ..

I have a B&D pole saw .. pretty good for 18V I had great sucess so far with it for my ocasional needs ..
