100 series with 280,000 miles died on me the other day. Battery is not receiving charge. If you pull battery while running truck dies (don’t do this).

Less than 15,000 miles ago I replaced alternator with reman denso unit from MrT.

Could this really have failed that soon?

I do have an oil leak near by - maybe that killed it?

Should note, the alternator is clean. Doesn’t have noticeable oil or coolant on it.

I have replaced plug with new and checked charging lug.

Auto zone alternator on stand by, guess I’ll slide under and replace.

I’ll let y’all know how it goes.

Is there a parts warranty on the denso remans?

My Mr T Denso is also making noise. 3 months and 1500 miles on it. From what I remember Toyota has 1yr coverage. I'm certainly going to test it out and will report back.

If you bought your reman alternator from a local dealer, I would think you'd get (perhaps) a complimentary replacement due to dealer goodwill. I'm about to go buy one tomorrow, so I hope the don't stink, as far as quality. Let us know what you learn.
