I am not sure if you lot can access the photo with this post, but it is of a battery in a toyota cruiser, and the outcome after some sort of fusion moment.

Something extra to worry about.....:bang:

Is there supposed to be a pic there Chris?

Did you get all your problems sorted out from last time you were here?

My neg battery terminal recently sh@t itself. Mrs boogie noticed a flash and smoke under the bonnet on start up.
It wasn't till later that I noticed that the neg batt terminal was melted. Two new batteries $$$$$ fixed it.

It would like to see pics too.

This summer I had my drivers side battery explode while starting it up to head home from a ball game. Luckily the truck started and I was able to drive home, but the whole battery was torn apart and the acid sprayed all over the engine compartment. The battery was 10years old and when buying new ones, buddy at the shop said that the older battery gasses more, then the gassess built up and a small spark due to the start caused the explosion. Spark due to dirty terminals.
Cheers,
Deny

Hey when I open up the post I see the pic? It is a super Charge battery. You dont see it? or pulling my leg?

Rosco
thanks for asking, but still got problems.... mainly because I havent had time to do any work on the car, renovating a house at the minute. Troopie has stopped getting stuck in 5th, and I havent done any long trips to hear if it is crashing into gear, but I will do the clutch fluids next week and hope that helps. The thrust bearing noise seems good too, I got under and tapped the yoke thing about, a bit of rust fell off and it seemed to free it up, and since then viola, no noise. They are all just temporary fixes I think...

Anyway This is the pic in a link now, the same as I see at the top, it was the only one the fellow posted. I would have liked more too, see if his engine bay was damaged at all

Be good,

Chris

Ugly That can do all sorts of damage .That a a cheap battery, made in china but they are ok. I had one in my 75 series and got 3 years out of it. Would have gone longer but I left the headlights on a few times.

yeah there was a boat in a marina down here that had a battery go off. they never did find the rear hatch cover, blew it right off...
