I've got a run planned for barret lake (for those of you who know where it is). We will be going in i think on Aug 30 for a couple of days. anyone interested, let me know. it will be me and my 60 and a friend and his cheep.:)

Same weekend as the fj45 run at Deer Valley. Sounds like a bit (lot) more challenging terrain. :)

we'll actually be out on saturday, that is labor day weekend and could be crowded. I want to do the run before everyone else goes, although the trail is not all that well known.

and it is quite a bit more challenging, but deer valley is awesome too!

got pics

man you guys missed out. it was sweet. the best part was that we had the whole place to ourselves for 3 days:D. we saw 2 rigs on their way out as we went in, and 4 rigs on the way out. labor day! when we were on our way up, as we passed Icehouse rd. (Rubicon turnoff) there were tons of rigs staging there. i guess everyone wanted to go there.

the trail is in good shape, and i found a couple of sections to be more difficult than any on the rubicon.

we camped right on the lake. the kids fished all day. the hiking was great.

there is also an old military plane wreck out there, although we couldn't remember how to find it, but we tried.

the trail will probably close for the year very soon, but we'll go again next season.

Great photos! I cant believe it was that empty this weekend. You guys scored!

Sweet! Looks like loads of fun.
Nice to see that your rig makes it through the gate.
I was told (by j##pers) that my rig would not fit.
Now I want to do it.

yeah, i fit no problem and i am 3" wider. i saw one guy with fullsize axles and he said he thought he would have to clime the post, but he sqeeked through. it is definitely tight, but nod that bad.

Love the action shots bro!
With the place all to yourselves...
BITCHIN!
Looks like a beautiful place! I cant wait to get more familiar with that area one day!
